Mighty Vine Wellness Club

THE MIGHTY VINE started with a grant from Ohio Department of Mental Health in 1989 as the first consumer-run business in Ohio and first consumer-run Wellness Center in the country. The Mighty Vine Wellness Club, formerly the IKRON Wellness Club, is the second oldest consumer-operated business still in existence in the State of Ohio.

As a consumer-run organization, at least half of the staff and board of trustees must be people in recovery. Our continued funding comes through membership dues and from funding by the Hamilton County Mental Health Board to offer affordable wellness services to people dealing with mental health issues. We are also open to the general public for anyone wanting to maintain his or her physical and mental health.

SERVICES:  We offer a full line of strength training machines, dumbbells, and treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical trainer and a Versa Climber. The fitness center is also equipped with full spectrum lighting (great for those who miss the sunlight of summer), air-conditioning, and purified water.

STAFF: The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and CPR certified. Our staff members also hold certifications in personal training, Occupational Therapy (which includes therapeutic exercise), Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and energy therapies.

HOURS: 8 AM - 6 PM Monday and Thursday; 8 AM - 5 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

COST with a Medicare or Medicaid card: $1 per visit or $5 per month.

COST without a Medicare or Medicaid card: $2 per visit or $10 per month.

** Additional charges apply for Tai Chi and Qigong classes and energy balancing sessions.
