This is the 32nd in a continuing series of stories--one every day for 50 days--to conclude IKRON's year-long celebration of our 50th anniversary. Missed one? No problem! See the entire series on our news page here.

IKRON's Career Quest program provides career services, like career counseling and exploration, education and career planning, assessment, and college and job matching, to Cincinnati-area middle and high school students. Career Quest helps students identify their interests for possible future careers, and also assists with other career prep activities like researching and applying for college, building resumes, and developing job skills.

In addition, IKRON wanted a way to recognize outstanding tri-state school counselors who provide exemplary career and college preparation services for their students. Every year beginning in 2009, Career Quest has honored three school counselors, who are nominated by their fellow educators and selected by a panel of representatives from local universities, school counselors, and families. The awards are endorsed and sponsored in part by Cincinnati State, the University of Cincinnati, and Xavier University.
