50 For 50 #10: Courage to Ask for Help
This is the tenth in a continuing series of stories--one every day for 50 days--to conclude IKRON's year-long celebration of our 50th anniversary. Missed one? No problem! See the entire series on our news page here.
Darla Menz, Director of Employment Services, and Melissa Harmeling, Director of Program Services, chatted with Cincinnati Public Radio earlier this year about IKRON's mission, the challenges faced by our participants, ending the stigma of mental illness, and celebrating our 50th anniversary.
Melissa says in the interview, "It's a hard thing to ask for help. It takes a lot of courage to step in the door and say, 'I've been struggling and I need help.' So we want to serve everyone we see who comes in and has that courage to ask for help."
You can hear the entire interview here.
